Obituary of Wayne Reynolds

Wayne Reynolds, 91, Salvisa, KY, husband of Helen Simpson Reynolds, died Saturday at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington. Born January 11, 1924, in Nicholasville, he was the son of the late Lindsey B. and Katherine (Mulcahy) Reynolds. Wayne was a World War II Army Veteran, lifelong Farmer, and a sixty year member of the Grapevine Christian Church where he was also an elder. He is survived by: his wife of 69 years: Helen Louise (Simpson) Reynolds, two daughters: Betty (Richard) Gluckman of Powder Springs, GA and Sue (Steve) Deskins of New Smyrna Beach, FL and one son: Gary (Jackie) Reynolds of Salvisa, KY, six grandchildren, Ken Stratton, Lisa Gluckman, Callie (Paul) Little, LeAnn (Keith) Curry, Gary (Missy) Reynolds, Jr. and Lisa (Tom) Black; ten great grandchildren and Five step grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by eight siblings and two grandchildren, Mark & Sandra Deskins. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Monday; May 4 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers will be: Keith Curry, Landon Curry, Ken Stratton and Gary Reynolds. Honorary Bearers will be the Men of Grapevine Christian Church. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday; May 5 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Claude Waldridge and Ron Bodger. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa.
