ZELMA BROWN REED
Zelma Brown Reed, 90, Louisville Road, Harrodsburg, widow of Maurice W. Reed, died Thursday, April 08, 2004 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born March 24, 1914 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Susie Kidwell Brown. She was a retired self-employed beautician and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include: a step-son, John Skeeter Reed, Harrodsburg: one daughter, Elaine and her husband David Settle, Harrodsburg; one sister, Mrs. H.F. Parker, Louisville; three grandchildren, Russell Cox, Kelli Frederick and Heather Settle; four step grandchildren, Stephen Reed, Franklin Frankie Reed, Jeannie Pinkston, and Kathy Dartt; several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 pm Saturday, April 10th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Chase and Terry Morrison. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Russell Cox, Franklin Frankie Reed, Chuck Settle, Carter Cox, Dr. Rick Dartt, and Stephen Reed.
Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Friday and after 7:30 am Saturday at the chapel.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harrodsburg Christian Church, 305 South Main Street, Harrodsburg.
