Obituary of Garnett P. Cinnamon

Garnett P. Cinnamon, 85, Salvisa, husband of Deloris Ann Carmickle Cinnamon, died Sunday at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington. Born June 7,1929, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Thomas Albert and Mary Lou (Crossfield) Cinnamon. Garnett was an Army veteran and a retired Melting Operator for Corning Glass.
Garnett is survived by: his wife: Deloris Ann (Carmickle) Cinnamon and two sons: David (Teresa) Cinnamon and Dale (Joan) Cinnamon of Salvisa, three grandchildren, Jessica Cinnamon, Meredith McQuerry and Clay Cinnamon. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Raymond Cinnamon, W.B. "Buck" Cinnamon and Leon Cinnamon Sr.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday; May 5 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers will be: Joel Odel, Dennis Gordon, Andrew McRay, Leon Cinnamon, Stanley Patton, Greg Richmond and Brent Curtsinger. Honorary Bearers will be: John Marshall, Jim Dunn, Hughes Jones, Dalton Hendren, Butch Merchant, Winston Preston, James Paul Murray, Mike McRay and Delmer Odel.
Funeral service will be held 1 pm Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Kesel and Delmer Odel. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa.
