My sympathies to Joe, John, JoNell and the entire family as you seek comfort and peace in the days ahead. Your memories of Gladys through the years of your life together will be treasured memories. She was a woman of compassion, love and kindness. Living across the street from Mr. Evan and his wife for many years, it was easy to see a great family, who helped others and made the community and church a better place.

Jonell just wanted you to know we are praying for your family. We just learned about your mother's passing. What a joy she was to talk to. You can be assured her conversation was going to include something about her children. Take care of your Dad . God's blessings to you and yours.

I've tried to find the words to express the love and admiration that I have come to have for Gladys. I've found more tears than words. Being in her presence and watching her with people gave me such respect and appreciation for her. It was just so easy for her to talk to them. Her kind, gentle ways and her calm, peaceful demeanor brought so much comfort to those who are suffering alone. Gladys taught me how to love others. She taught me that I have to rely on faith to get through the rough times. She was a wonderful role model. There is so much more I wanted to learn from Gladys. That time has been cut short for now, but I hope we will make up for it someday. While I know the pain I feel in losing my dear friend, I can not know the pain of your loss. I love you and I will continue to pray for you. We will all have to rely on our faith.
