Taylor was someone I met through social media.. We were both struggling with our emotions and needed an outlet. Taylor was my go-to girl, the one I told all of my problems to and I was the same for her. We never even met in person and yet it was like we had an unbreakable bond. I live in Massachusetts, and only learned about Taylor's passing now. I'm heartbroken and I give my sincere condolences to all who knew her, family especially. I'll always remember Taylor's dedication to make my life a little bit happier. I know she's in a better place. I love you Taylor. Always.

I just wanted to express my sympathies to Taylor's family. Taylor was a math student of mine, and I so enjoyed her smile, humor and down-to-earth personality! I will miss seeing her, and she will be missed in the Grand View community.

Dear Blankenship Family -
I met Taylor her first semester at Grand View University when she walked into the freshman composition class I was teaching. She started out as a seemingly shy, quiet girl but quickly spoke up, joining in our many classroom discussions. Once she opened herself up, the whole class, myself included, got to know her and started to appreciate her quirky sense of humor and her willingness to share some of her struggles. She and I spoke more than once about how hard it was for her to be so far from home; this tells me that her family was very important to her and she loved you all. I want you to know that even during that short semester when I knew her, her first semester as a college student in Iowa, she made an impact on the people around her.
I am so sorry for you loss and want to offer my sincerest condolences. I hope you find comfort in my words and strength in the multitude of thoughts and prayers sent to you as you grieve.
With True and Heartfelt Sympathy,
Kristin Daniel-Woodvine

I had the pleasure of working with Taylor as her freshman advisor, and also taught her in a few classes. She was such a joy to have as a student; a bright student who was going places. As faculty, we're not supposed to say we have "favorites," but she was definitely one of mine. I'm so sad to hear of her passing. I'm holding you and all those who mourn her in my thoughts.

Dear Taylor's family,
How my heart aches for all of you! A Grand View student called last night at 11 to tell me about Taylor. I understand a little better than some about your pain because my husband and I lost a baby to SIDS. The best thing I can do for you right now is ask God to pour his love, grace, and peace into your broken hearts. It might help to remember that He hurts along with us, helping us bear the pain because in the very beginning He created a pain free world so we wouldn't have to suffer like this.
Taylor was in my Global Perspective class last Spring. It was pure joy having her in class because of her positive attitude, indomitable spirit, and excellent work.
We will miss Taylor's sweet spirit on campus and thank you sharing her with us!
Love and prayers,
Maestra Coralie Turner
