Robert Allen Bird, 56, Harrodsburg, husband of Melody Bush Bird, died Friday, July 10, 2015 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington. Born January 21, 1959, in Ft. Belvoir, VA, he was the son of Ray (Sharon) Bird of Wallins, KY and the late Joan Casolari Bird.
He was the Owner of RDC Bearing Inc. in Lexington, a classic car collector and an avid hunter.
Other survivors include: Two sons: Conner and Wesley Bird, both of Harrodsburg, one sister: Amelia (Jeff) Templeton of May, TX and two brothers: Mitchell (Michelle) Bird of Colliersville, TN and Gary (Melody) Bird of Harrodsburg. A Sister In Law; Sue Bird and several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his Brother, Douglas Bird.
Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers will be: Kevin Curry, Matt Bird, Zachary Garrett, David Thompson, Doug Taylor and Chris Howard.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 7:00 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by David Thompson.
