Joe A. Stevens, 78, Harrodsburg, husband of Joy Burgin Stevens, died Thu., Aug. 20, 2015 in Lexington.
Born June 15, 1937, he was the son of the late Roger H. and Nell Cheak Stevens. He was retired owner of Joe A. Stevens Trucking Co., a buyer for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. for several years, and elder of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Other survivors: five children, Lisa (Geno) Swick, La Vergne, TN, Ann-Margret (Kevin) Perkins, Harrodsburg, Cathy (Jonny) Schooler, Frisco, TX, Chris (Lisa) Bentley, Louisville, Sandy (Paul) Bohman, Perryville; brother, Jim Stevens, Perryville; sister, Shirley Greenburg, Harrodsburg; 12 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren.
Services 2PM Sun., Harrodsburg Christian Church by Mego Haralu. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visit. 5-8PM Sat., Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers are Gary Houchins, Bob Coffman, Don Billy Yates, Tebbs Moore, John Phillips, Mike Matherly, Larry Royalty, Tommy Ison, Will Dedman, Bobby Reister, Don Notter, and James Sanders. Honorary bearers are Elders of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Memorials suggested to the Harrodsburg Christian Kitchen Fund or Youth Ministry.
