Virginia Bruce Reed, 83, Salvisa, KY, widow of Carlo Reed, died Tuesday at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg. Born May 28,1932, in Sinai, KY, to the late Robert Bruce and Emma Catherine (Disponett) Stratton. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Kirkwood Baptist Church. Virginia is survived by: a daughter: Brenda (Sam) Watts of Harrodsburg, and a son: Larry (Carolyn) Reed of Lawrenceburg; a brother: J. B. Stratton of Versailles, three grandchildren: Brian Watts, Deidrea Wade and Kristen Fletcher and three great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband: Carlo Reed and brothers, Marvin, Bobby & Tommy Stratton Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers will be: Brian Watts, Wayne Wade, Randy Fletcher, Rodney Thompson, Dale Sexton, Johnny Stratton and Brian Peyton. Honorary Bearers: Deidrea Wade, Kristen Fletcher, Courtney Fletcher, Nicholas Fletcher and Maddie Wade. Funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Doug Wesley and Larry Redding. Burial will follow in the Kirkwood Cemetery, Salvisa. The family request memorial donations be sent to Kirkwood Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1955 Kirkwood Road, Salvisa, KY 40372 or Alzheimer's Association, 801 S. Limestone, Suite E, Lexington, KY 40508-4048.
