Melvin Marshall Tewmey, 91, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Ruby Rose (Robinson) Tewmey, died Thursday at the V. A. Medical Center, Lexington. Born January 26, 1924, in Harrodsburg, to the late Charles Edward and late Anna Lee (Peavler) Tewmey. Melvin was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of the Bruner's Chapel Baptist Church. He was a truck driver, school bus driver and mechanic. Melvin is survived by: his wife: Ruby Rose Tewmey, daughter: Marsha (Jim) Robinson of Salvisa, and son: Ed (Vicki) Tewmey of Harrodsburg, three grandchildren, Adam Robinson, Ben Robinson and, Jason Tewmey. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin Tewmey and Morris Tewmey. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday; December 7at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Don Reed and Tony Smith. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers will be: Adam Robinson, Ben Robinson, Jason Tewmey, Jim Coyle, Herbie Lyons and Jimmy Yeager. Honorary Bearers will be: Kermit Logue, Beau Wilson, Brandon Krunchinski, Tim Wade and Members of the Men's Sunday School Class. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Sunday, December 6 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. The family request memorial donations be sent to Gideon's International, P.O. Box 176, Harrodsburg, KY 40330
