Obituary of William Morris Durr

William Morris Durr, 72, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Elaine Robinson Durr, died Monday at his home after battling ALS. He was born August 16,1943, in Mercer County, to Morris and the late Vertie B. (Harley) Durr. William was the bookkeeper for Mercer Stone Company for several years, was also a truck driver and school bus driver and in was a full time farmer.
Other survivors include: his father, Morris Durr, Harrodsburg; three daughters, Joyce E. (Lee) Darland of Harrodsburg, Robin Lynn (William) Smock and Angelia Mae (Joel) Ferens, both of Lexington; one sister, Patricia (Donnie) Bramblett of GA; one brother, Lynn Dale (the late Lana) Durr of Harrodsburg; seven grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday; December 30 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by JOhnny Hockersmith, Derek Baker and Ronnie Click. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
