Obituary of Bruce C. Sims

Bruce C. Sims, 73, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Linda G. Hendren Sims, died Thursday at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center. He was born May 17,1942, in Washington County to the late William and Lucille (Isham) Sims. Bruce was a retired supervisor for General Electric, a full time farmer and also worked for the Mercer County Conservation Office.
Bruce is survived by: his wife: Linda Gayle (Hendren) Sims, one daughter: Tammy Lucinda (Shawn) Murphy of Harrodsburg and two sons: Troy Patrick Sims of Somerset, Travis Stacy (Kristi) Sims of Midway, two sisters: Nancy Blacketeer of New Albany, IN and Alissa (Carl) Adams of FL, five grand children. Bruce was preceded in death by his brother: Wendell Sims.
Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Friday; February 5 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Pallbearers will be: Timothy Baker, Kelly Baker, Mike Matherly, Kevin Russell, Blair Isham, Ron Hilton, Dennis Sims, Richie Sims and Aaron Baker. Honorary Bearers will be: Dakota Sims, Tanner Murphy, Kyle Sims, Collin Sims, Taylor Brooke Murphy, Makenzie Runyon, Donald Ross, Darrel Baker, Joe Russell, LeRoy Hendren, Billy Hilton, Carl Blacketeer, Nick Adams, Mark Moore and Charles Blevins.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Damon Stewart, Daron Stewart and Charlie Ellis. Burial will follow in the Battle Cemetery in Washington County.
