Judith D. Burks, 70, Harrodsburg, KY, died Monday, May 2, 2016, at her home.
Born November 1, 1945, in Mercer Co., she was the daughter of the late W. Earl and Georgia (Sanders) Dean Sr.. She was owner and operator of Big Red Stables, farmed, and was a former deputy jailer. Judy was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church and the Fort Harrod Back Country Horsemen.
Survivors include: two daughters, Emily (Andrew) Dennis of Harrodsburg, Nellie (Zach) Ramsey of Versailles; one son, Matt Burks of Harrodsburg; one sister, Adele Greenburg of Harrodsburg; one brother, Lee Miller Dean of Harrodsburg; seven grandchildren; and a very special friend, Nancy Arnsparger. She was preceded in death two brothers, Howard Hadden Dean and Earl Dean Jr..
Memorial services will be held 2 PM Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the Big Red Stables, 1605 Jackson Pk., Harrodsburg. Following the service, a gathering of family and friends will be held to celebrate her life.
