Obituary of Anna Christine Gohranson

Anna Christine "Chris" Gohranson, U.S. Navy Retired, 59, Harrodsburg, KY, wife of William Edgar "Bill" Gohranson, died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at home. Born July 4, 1956, in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Samuel Combs and Mary Marjorie Masters Combs Walls of Lexington. Mrs. Gohranson was a retired U.S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer and member of the Shawnee Run Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Carroll County High and the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Chris was an American Red Cross volunteer, a certified CPR Instructor, and was active in her community. Other survivors include: three sons, C. J. Holsinger of Lexington, Jeremiah Holsinger and Jackson Holsinger of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Judith Kay Bracken of Loveland, OH and Donna Jo (Paul) Baker of Lexington; three brothers, Robert Leslie ( Shawnda) Combs of Lexington, Paul Samuel Combs of Huntington, WV and Jonathan David Combs of Lexington; several Nieces & Nephews. Funeral services 7:00 PM Wed., May 25, 2016, at the Shawnee Run Baptist Church, with visitation after 4:00 PM at the church. Burial will in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, at 11 AM Thursday, May 26, 2016. Logan Hazelwood will officiate. Pallbearers: Phillip Powell, Brent Sanders, Bud Burdette, Joey Hardin, Eli Thompson, and Chad Beasley. Honorary Bearers: Granville Sherrow, Mark Harlow, Greg Harlow, Mike Wilson, Jerry Winchester and Harold Hullette. Memorials are suggested to the Shawnee Run Baptist Church Mission Fund.
