Obituary of Mary Catherine Trisler

Mary Catherine Trisler, 93, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Frank R. Trisler, died Friday, June 24, 2016, at the UK Medical Center, Lexington. Born June 16, 1923, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Irvin and the late Nancy Emaline Carpenter Hopper.
She was a graduate of Harrodsburg High School, Class of 1941. She worked for Western Union as telegraph operator, was a clerk for the Kentucky State Hospital and was secretary for Davenport/Robinson Insurance Agency for several years. She was a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church for 81 years, also long time member of the Yates-Spilman Sunday School Class and the DAR.
Survivors include one daughter: Nancy Bruce Trisler of Harrodsburg, and two sons: Philip Hopper Trisler of Lexington, and Frank Stewart Trisler of Summitt, NJ,; she also has three grandchildren: Amanda Catherine Jacobs, Adam Philip Trisler, and Hope Liu Trisler.
Funeral service 11 AM Tuesday, June 28 with Reverend Garland Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Pallbearers: John Wayne Peavler, Tom Reed, Steve Goldsberry, Mike Lankford, Frank Lane Howard, Adam Trisler and Chris Jacobs.
