Louise Combs Stopher, 101, Harrodsburg, widow of Carroll Stopher, died Friday, July 8, 2016, at the Heritage Hall Care Ctr., Lawrenceburg. Born November 4, 1914, in Mercer Co., she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ophelia (Crossfield) Combs. She was a retired surgical nurse at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, having received her Registered Nurse degree from St. Joe School of Nursing. Louise was a member and former treasurer of the Magnolia Street Christian Church, and was a member of the Mercer Co. Concerned Citizens, Widow to Widow, Christian Life Center Board, as well as a former volunteer for Mercer Senior Citizens. Survivors include: two sons, Robert (Cynthia) Stopher, Lawrenceburg, KY, and Richard (Mary) Stopher, Fulton, IL; four grandchildren, Mark, Tim & Robby Stopher, and Cindy Gamble; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Funeral services 2PM Tues., July 12, 2016, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Terry Morrison. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers: Robby, Tim, Mark & Kameron Stopher, Larry Gamble and Don Rightmeyer. Memorials are suggested to: Ebenezer Cemetery Fund.
