Willis T Hendren, 81, husband of Teresa Norma McCrystal Hendren, died Sunday, September 18, 2016, at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center, Lexington. Born December 22, 1934, in Mercer Co., he was the son of the late Worley T. and Venetta B. (Robinson) Hendren. He was a retired Shipping & Receiving Foreman for Hallmack Mfg., had served nine years in the KY National Guard, and was a Baptist. Other survivors include: one daughter, Vanessa (Marvin) Rowland of Mt. Juliet, TN; two sons, Willis Lee (Cindy) Hendren of Lexington, and Richard (Lisa) Hendren of Irmo, SC; three sisters, Mary Jane Weddle, Betty Jean Hendren and Annetta Carey; seven grandchildren, Miranda (Michael) Tweedy, Hendersonville, TN, Joseph (Megan) Rowland of Lenanon, TN, Lindsey Hendren of Columbia, SC, Anthony (Haley) Hendren of Nashville, TN, Corey (Caroline) Hendren of Waltersboro, SC, Kyle Hendren of Lexington, and Abigail Hendren of Lexington; one great grandchild, Jude Rowland of Lebanon, TN. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Hendren. Graveside services will be 2 PM Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at the Spring Hill Cemetery Pavilion by Joseph Rowland. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 12 Noon until 2 PM Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army, 519 S Fourth St., Danville, KY 40423. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com.
