Obituary of Elizabeth Nikles Eyster

Elizabeth Edith Eyster, 92, Salvisa, KY, died Thursday, September 29, 2016, at the Danville Center. For Health and Rehabilitation. Born September 10, 1924, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Elizabeth Veronica Creaver Lockwood. She was the widow of John T. Nikels and George C. Eyster. She was a retired RN having received her nursing degree from St. Johns Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. She was a member of St. Phillips Episcopal Church and member of the Eastern Star # 1028 of Castelberry, TX, where she had served as Worthy Matron. Survivors include four daughters: Victoria Anne Smith-Everett of Burleson, TX, Barbara Marie Suykerbuyk of Salvisa, KY, Alice Louise Sosa of Hitchcock, TX and Michele Porta of Waldron, IN, ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, Reverend Peter Doddema with conduct the Funeral Service at 12 pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
