Obituary of James Joseph Brown

James Joseph Brown, 57, Lawrenceburg, KY, died Tuesday at the UK Medical Center, Lexington. Born July 4, 1959, in De Kalb, IL, to the late James Irvin and Patricia (Sims) Brown. James was a freelance artist, a member of the Burgin Church of God and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include: one daughter: Krystina Browning of Harrodsburg, KY a son: Joe Brown of Stanford, KY, two sisters: Tricia B. Parker of Hanover , IN and Sonya Brown of NC, three brothers: Daniel, Monty & Charles Brown of NC; ex-wife and best friend: Brenda Brown of Lawrenceburg, KY and thirteen grandchildren. James was preceded in death by a sister: Maria Montgomery. A Gathering of friends and family will be 12-2 pm Saturday; December 17 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel in Harrodsburg. Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Saturday by Don Irvin at the Grapevine Cemetery, Harrodsburg. The Family suggest that memorial donations be directed to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
