Obituary of Wanda Southerland

Wanda Southerland, 83, Harrodsburg, widow of E. Coleman Southerland, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Born June 16, 1933, in Casey Co., she was the daughter of the late Claude and Dora (Morris) Franklin. She was a member of The Carpenter's Christian Church and was a retired seamstress for Irvin Air Industries. Wanda had been a property manager for Garvice Kincaid for several years, was former owner and operator of Southerland Garden Center in Lexington, and was the owner of Lake View Apartments. Survivors include: two daughters. Paula (Billy Jr.) McIntyre of Versailles, and Connie (Ralph) Conkright of Lexington; one son, Johnny (Teresa) Wash of Versailles; one step daughter, Lynne (Bryan) Taylor of Paris; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, March 6, 2017, at the Carpenter's Christian Church by Greg Warren and Hershael York. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Sunday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg and 11 AM Monday at the church.
