This picture of Wilma and Ruby was made by Bill in 2005 in their yard. She was so proud of the rose bush behind us.

Addition-
Bill, Christina, Rebecca, Rita, and Grandsons,
You have my deepest sympathy, and I also grieve with you. Wilma became my friend in 1949, when we met in the 7th grade at McAfee School. We grew up together and spent time in each others homes. Her parents and siblings were so good to me. Wilma and I always kept up with each other, no matter where we were living in adulthood. My husband died 30 years ago, and I took care of my aged mother in her later years, and she died in 1998. It was then that Wilma and I resumed being even closer. We had a wonderful time, as we went antiquing, eating out, with Bill joining us sometimes. Wilma and I delved in genealogy, traveling around Mercer County, as we perused this great endeavor. Her grandfather and also mine, were in the 19th Kentucky Infantry during the Civil War, just different companies. I had Bishop kin who married into the Trisler family, which was her kin. So, we thought we were distant cousins as well as the best of friends. And, might I add, Wilma adored her family, as you know, always busy sending cards, clippings, anything she wanted you to know and also celebrate YOU. She loved all of you so deeply.
Now time has run out, and she is in Heaven with our Lord, and I/we are left with Precious Memories.
Ruby

To my loving family, it is with a heavy heart that I write this as I can not attend the service for such a wonderful woman. I find myself at somewhat of a loss for words when I try to summarize how much Wilma (or Mom-maw as she was always known to me) meant to us all.
The memories I have of her will always be cherished and she will always have a special place in my heart as a grandparent should. As I write this, I think back on the lifetime of experiences and memories built up. The cards I excitedly looked forward to on my birthday and the holidays. The fun and interesting articles she would send me in the mail, and the summers spent up at the farm are as much a part of my upbringing as anything possibly could be. She never missed a special occasion to send us her love, all the way up to the end.
While we may be sad, heaven rejoices with the arrival of another angel. Mom-maw we will miss you more than words can describe, but my wife and I take solace in the fact that you are with God now. Gone to glory with Jesus in hand. We know that you didn't get to meet you great granddaughter but we know you'll be smiling down on her from heaven.
We love you and miss you very much.
