Obituary of Adrian Thompson
Paul "Adrian" Thompson, 68, Harrodsburg, husband of Sandra Catlett Thompson, died Tuesday at his home. Born August 7, 1948, in Washington County to the late Ralph Cephas and Vivian (Durr) Thompson. Adrian served in the Army during Vietnam war and was awarded a Purple Heart for injuries received during service, he was a life member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where he served as trustee for many years and a member of the Pairs & Spares Sunday School Class. Adrian worked several years for Square D and Kentucky Utilities but spent much of his career as an independent Car Dealer and owner and operator of a Carhartt retail outlet.
Adrian is survived by: his wife: Sandra Joleen (Catlett) Thompson, two daughters: Paula Joleen (Spencer) Tatum and Kimberly Nicole (Darryl) Walton, and one son: Paul Adrian (Krista) Thompson, II, five sisters: Lillian (Harold) Gritton, Jean Dean, Betty (Jerry) Foster, Brenda (Bobby) Grider and Pat (Gary) Keller, and two brothers: Bobby (Coleen) Thompson and Rodney (Mary Alice) Thompson all of Harrodsburg, eight grandchildren, Seth Thompson Tatum, Nathan Ezra Tatum, Andrew Spencer Tatum, Brennen Scott Walton, Bryce Catlett Walton, Bailee Adrian Walton, Emory Kate Thompson and Jacob Elijah Thompson; Several Nieces & Nephews.
Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Thursday; May 25 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday at Bethel Baptist Church by Brad King, Lester Tirey, Stephen Brogli, and John McDaniel. Burial with military honors will follow in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
