Obituary of Edward Brice
Edward Brice, husband of Sarah Terhune Brice, died Sunday, June 25, 2017, at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington. Born in Plains, PA, he was the son of the late Victor Matthew and Winifred (Oliver) Brice. He was a retired Equine Operations Manager at the Kentucky Horse Park and had been a buyer for the KY Dept. of Transportation. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lexington, and enjoyed fishing. Mr. Brice was responsible for starting the Lexington Police Mounted Patrol, as well as the Parade of Breeds at the Kentucky Horse Park.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Lafon (Bill) Benton of Walton, KY; one sister, Mildred Brice of Plains, PA; one brother, Bill Brice of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Abbie & Cooper Benton; a cousin, Van Underwood; a niece, Mary Ann Batten.
Funeral services 11AM Thursday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Connie Mitchell. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 10 am - 11 am Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers are: Don Michael Sweet, Chris Batten, Van Underwood, Bill, Scott, and Danny Benton.
