Obituary of Clara Locke Howell

CLARA LOCKE HOWELL Clara Locke Howell, age 83, Harrodsburg Health Care Manor, widow of Robert Howell, Sr., died Wednesday, June 09, 2004 at the center. Born July 13, 1920 in Paducah, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lindsay and Pearl (Miller) Locke. She was a retired sales clerk for Sears in Danville for many years and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and an adult choir member. Survivors include: two sons, Robert Howell, Jr., Nicholasville, and William Howell, Louisville; one brother, David Locke, Columbia, Tennessee; one sister, Ruby G. Wise, Paducah and two grandchildren, Dr. Kimberly Howell and Christine Howell. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Paul Locke. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, June 11th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Curtis Bailey, Wendell Gooch, Chris Coffman, Eddie Russell, Allen Whitenack, and Ron Leach. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 pm Thursday and after 7:30 am Friday at the chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
