Alford H. VanArsdall, 77, Harrodsburg, KY, widower of Kathryn "Kathy" Glasscock, died Saturday at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY. Born 11/23/1939, in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Alford W. and Dorothy (Darnell) VanArsdall. 

​Alford was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed playing guitar and singing, gardening and flea marketing

He was a retired Welder for Matthews Conveyor after thirty years.

Alford is survived by: one daughter: Karen (Jason) Walton of Nicholasville, KY and one son: Mark Wayne (Donna) VanArsdallof Bossier City, LA, two sisters: Trudy (Carroll) Montgomery  and Rita (Gary) Herring both of Harrodsburg, KY,, six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and was preceded in death by a Daughter, Debra Ann Goodpaster, and a sister, Vickie Sue Lester.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 - 8 PM at Ransdell Funeral Chapel,  Harrodsburg, KY. With service at Spring Hill Cemetery at 11 AM, Tuesday (9/12/17) with Reverend Lynn Releford officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Terry Montgomery, Johnny Montgomery, Michael Montgomery, Eddie Jenkins, Tad Kite, Jerry Carney, Ronnie Goodpaster, 2nd, Joshua VanArsdall, Dakota Walton. 

​The family request memorial donations be sent to Fellowship Baptist Church, 502 Ada Drive, Harrodsburg, KY 40330
