KATIE I. McCRYSTAL Katie I. McCrystal, age 89, Harrodsburg Health Care Center, widow of Michael R. McCrystal, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at the health care center. Born October 11, 1914 in the Battle Community in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Flora Boswell Isham. She was a retired glass inspector for Corning Glass, Inc. of Harrodsburg, a member of the Mercer County Senior Citizens, and a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Society. Survivors include: one son, Harold F. McCrystal, Somerset; one daughter, Mrs. Billy (Flora Alice) Montgomery, Harrodsburg; one sister Ethel Russell, Harrodsburg, one brother-in-law, Sylvester McCrystal, Lexington; eight grandchildren; one step grandchild; fifteen great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, William “Bill” Isham and a sister, Beulah Hendren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday at the St. Andrew Catholic Church by Father Joseph Muench and Greg Warren. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Richie McCrystal, Harold F. McCrystal, Jr., Alan Pinkston, Michael Warner, Leon Smith, Paul Enderle, Billy Dunaway, and Tony Smith. Visitation will be after 4:00 pm Wednesday, June 16th with the prayer service to be held at 8:30 pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Andrew Catholic Church Building Fund, 1125 Danville Road, Harrodsburg or to the Carpenter’s Christian Church Building Fund, C/O Norris Flynn, 1777 Paradise Camp Road, Harrodsburg, Kentucky 40330.
