Obituary of Lettie Frances Harlow

Lettie Frances Harlow, 94, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Ralph  Harlow, died Saturday at the Charleston Health Care Center, Danville.

Born May 27, 1923, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Fred Thomas and Shannon Dale (Sims) Jackson. She was a retired Glass Inspector for Corning Glass Works, served as secretary to American Flint Glass Workers Union, Corresponding Secretary to the Flint Magazine in Toledo, OH. She wrote articles for the Lens Leader, and served on the Executive Board of the Corning Glass Credit Union, as well as the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Labor For Work School, were she received a Lifetime Membership for her work there.

Lettie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Danville.

Survivors include: one daughter, Shelvie Jean Estes of Edgewater, FL; one son, Ralph Harlow Jr. of Berea; one sister, Betty Jean Scrogham of Fort Myers, FL; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. Lettie was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter D., Maurice Franklin and William Stanley Jackson, and a sister, Ida Mae Cummins.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Tue., Jan 23, 2018, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Tim Mathis.  Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Visitation will be Tue. from 10AM - 2PM at the  Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers be: Allen Harlow, Sean  and Jeremy  Estes, David Long, Scottie Anderson, Gerry Webb, Tim Sheehan, Troy Howard. Honorary bearers: Clara Divert, Charlatta Sharp, Mary Lee Furr, Carolyn Hawkins, Della Long, Connie Anderson, Patsy Claunch, Donna Webb.
