Obituary of William Armond Bottom
William Armond Bottom, 87, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Sarah Frances Woods Bottom, died Friday, January 26, 2018, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born February 5, 1930, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Marshall Demaree and Flossie Elizabeth (Shouse) Bottom.
He was a former employee of IBM, former owner of the Bottom Motor Co., and operated a custom farming business for several years.
He was a Long time member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church and the Glad Hand Sunday School Class. Armond was an avid collector and had served in the Kentucky National Guard, was also a former Constable for Mercer County. He was also a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, and the Bluegrass Steam and Gas Engine Association.
Other survivors include two daughters: Elizabeth Blair Bottom of Frankfort, and Marsha B. (Mark B.) Noel of Harrodsburg; one grandson, William Chadwick (Sarah Elizabeth) Noel; a step brother, Carroll W. Bottom of Indianapolis, IN; and several nieces & nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 AM - 2 PM, Thursday, Feb. 1, with a Memorial service at 2 PM at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Eddie Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
