CHARLES F. BLANKENSHIP


Charles F. Blankenship, age 49, Bohon Road, husband of Sharon Taylor Blankenship, died Monday, June 28, 2004 as a result of a traffic accident in Jefferson County, Kentucky.


Born January 14, 1955 in Williamson, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Howard and Rita Bentley Blankenship and was a disabled coal miner.


Survivors in addition to his wife include: one son, Andrew Blankenship, Red Jacket, West Virginia; two daughters, Leisha (Blankenship) Perkins, Cleveland, Ohio and Taylor Nicole Blankenship, Mercer County; one brother, Randall Blankenship, Versailles and one sister Yvonne Dehart, Red Jacket, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Donald, Jimmy, Danny, and Bobby Blankenship.


Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, July 1st at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. James Harley. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery.


Pallbearers are: Shawn Davis, Ryan Wilcher, Ben Houston, Rocky Blankenship, Roy T. Hiles, and Randy Hiles.


Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 until 7 pm and after 7:30 am Thursday at the chapel.
