SHERMAN CAMDEN


Sherman Camden, 73, died at his home in Danville, Wednesday, June 30th, leaving behind his wife of 35 years, Diane Hayslett Camden, his son, Sherman Camden, II, his sister, Hazel Ruth Doty, and many loving family members.


Sherman was the son of the late Brack and Rheda Peavler Camden.


Sherman was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Camden and infant daughter, Jennifer.


Sherman was a member of the Salt River Baptist Church, A U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of the Harvey Maguire Lodge # 209. He was retired from Northpoint Training Center, a former Burgin Police Chief, a former Perryville Police Chief, and a former Boyle County Jailer.


Visitation will be Friday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm with Masonic Rites at 8:00 pm.


Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home by Bro. Bob Bausum. Burial will be at the Burgin Memorial Gardens with military rites.


Pallbearers will be Terry Camden, Tommy Camden, Brack Camden, Terry Camden, Jr., Chris Camden, Daniel Camden, Eric Bast, F.O. Ritchey, and Crystal Camden.


Memorial contributions may go to the Salt River Baptist Church, C/O Bro. Bob Bausum, 5055 Perryville Road, Danville, KY 40422.
