Obituary of John Henry Whitt

John H. "Sonny" Whitt, 80, Harrodsburg, widower of Hildreth Ann Whitt, died Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the Hospice Care Center, Lexington, KY.  Born January 20, 1938, in Scott Co., he was the son of the late Herbert and Goldie (Bryant) Whitt. He was a longtime thoroughbred horse trainer.

Survivors include: one daughter, Hassie Case of NC; three sons, Chris Robin Whitt and Gary Steven Whitt, both of Harrodsburg, and John Henry Whitt of Lincoln County, NE;  two sisters, Betty Ryles of Mt. Sterling, KY and Martha Shewmaker of Richmond, KY; one brother, Donnie Whitt of Lexington, KY; five grandchildren.

Funeral services  7PM Tuesday, May 8, 2018, by Brad King, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
