Obituary of Velois P. Garriott

Velois Garriott, 91, Harrodsburg, widow of Jack Coleman Garriott, died Saturday May 12, 2018 at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center, Lexington, KY. Born February 9, 1927, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Virgil Bunton Patterson.

She was a retired Clerk for Kentucky State Police and Mercer County Clerk's Office. Velois was a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church and was President of her Sunday School class.

Velois is survived by: one daughter: Jacqulyn (Bruce) Pritchett of Henderson, KY, Granddaughter, Ashley (Mark) Wells; Great Grandson, Jack Wells.

          Visitation will be Wednesday from 9-11am at Salvisa Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be: Danny Brock, Bruce Wade, John Bunton, Anthony Hamlin, Joe Morris, David Ransdell, Richard McCroskey and Chris Goodlett. Honorary: Ralph Morris, Robert Lee Shewmaker, Jimmy Gash, Mitch Whittle, Russell Brock, Jim Jones, John Alvin Goodlett, Jerry Goodlett and Mark Miller.

          Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 16 at 11:00 am at Salvisa Baptist Church by John David Lane and Jonathan Jones. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
