Obituary of Arthur Carrol Montgomery
Arthur Carrol Montgomery, 74, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Trudy Jean VanArsdall Montgomery, died Monday at the Select Specialty Hospital, Lexington, KY.
Born July 29, 1943, in Mercer Co., KY, he was the son of the late Marvin and Beulah (Roberts) Montgomery. He was a retired Kentucky Utilities - E. W. Brown Plant employee, and was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church, Mercer and KY Cattlemen's Assoc., and the Southeast KY Tractor Club.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Rebecca J. (Darrell) Underwood of Boyle Co., Vickie C. (Gill) Lay of Mercer Co., and Kimberly R. (Terry) McCowan of Mercer Co.; three sons, Terry L. (Robin) Montgomery, Johnny L. (Barbara) Montgomery, and Michael K. Montgomery, all of Mercer Co.; three sisters, Donna (Donnie) Tatum, Barbara A. (Joe Mike) Hawkins, and Edna G. (Henry) Gross, all of Mercer Co.; one brother, Kenton (Jewell) Montgomery of Mercer Co.; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Carl McCray. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 PM, Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers will be: Gill Lay Jr., Devan Lay, Jacob McCowan, Brandon Montgomery, Nathan McCowan, Trevar Lay, Stephen McCowan, and Bryan Underwood. Honorary bearers will be: Heather Burley, Bethany Abbott, Ashley Montgomery, and Emiley Montgomery.
