Obituary of Robbie Shewmaker

Robert Ray "Robbie" Shewmaker, 49, Harrodsburg, died Sunday, July 29, 2018, at the Ft. Logan Hospital, Stanford, as a result of a motorcycle accident. Born September 11, 1968, in Danville, he was the son of  Robert C. and Barbara (Gordon) Shewmaker. Robbie was employed at Toyatomi America in Springfield. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church,  Mercer Volunteer Fire Department and formerly of the McAfee Department #12, and was also a member of the Southern Cruisers.

 

In addition to his parents, Robbie is survived by: three children, Amanda (Jared) Cocanougher, Meagan (Ethan) Sallee, and Aaron (Cynthia) Shewmaker all of Harrodsburg; one sister, Jamie (Steve) Morrison, and their daughter Emmalyn Morrison of Lexington; six granddaughters, with a new grandson on the way; several  cousins.

 

Funeral services will be held11 AM Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Greg Collier. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

 

Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM Tuesday; July 31 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel,  Harrodsburg, KY.

Pallbearers will be: Todd Shewmaker, Chris Higginbotham, Clay Warren, Michael Henson, Michael Simpson and Daniel Stratton. Honorary Bearers will be: Paul Parks, Brian Driskell, Steve Morrison, Jared Cocanougher, Heath Shewmaker,  and Ethan Sallee.
