Obituary of Carroll Gritton

Carroll Gritton, 80, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Dorthy  Cannada Gritton, died Wednesday at his home in Harrodsburg. Born August 19, 1937, in Mackville, he was the son of the late Orville Zeliff and the late Mary Louise (Leonard) Gritton.  Carroll retired as a Quality Inspector for IBM Inc., and was a member of the Harrodsburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

          Carroll is survived by: his wife: Dorthy (Cannada) Gritton, two daughters: Debbie (Mike) Turner and Kelli (Rick) Hayes of Harrodsburg, and one son: Joey (Terri) Gritton of Versailles, one sister: Teresa McWilliams of Lawrenceburg, brother in law, Bud Carey; six grandchildren, nine great  grandchildren. Carroll was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Jenkins and a great  grandchild.

          Visitation will be from 5-8pm Friday; August 10 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel,  Harrodsburg, KY.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Bryan & Tasha Turner, Adam & Leeann Turner, Justin & Jessica Kendrick, Jamie & Kendra Goodpaster, Lindsey Gritton & Nick Powell and Leslie Gritton. Honorary Bearers will be: Jerry Kurtz, Harold Gritton, Bud Carey, Rick Jenkins, Matthew McWilliams, Jerry Darland, Tom Darland and Tony Darland.

          Funeral service will be 1pm Saturday at  the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jonn David Lane and Lynn Releford. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
