Obituary of Connie G. Daugherty Selvey

Connie G. Daugherty Selvey, 77, Hustonville,  widow of Art  Selvey Jr., died Saturday at her home Hustonville, KY. Born August 4,1941, in Mitchellsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Elijah and the late Viola (Lamb) Galloway.

Connie retired as an operator from AT&T. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, where she played the piano and organ, also a member of the Red Hats. She loved butterflies and most everything purple.

          Connie is survived by: two sons: Troy (Mira) Daugherty of Hustonville, and Rex (Melanie) Daugherty of Columbia, three grandchildren, one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by: her daughter, Mitzi Dawn Daugherty;  five sisters; Margaret, Gladys, Allene, Jewell Hope and JoAnn, and a brother; Glenn.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday; August 15 at the Immanuel Baptist Church, by Harold Best and Andy Mikles.

Pallbearers are to be: Scott Hurst, Brad Ingram, Steve Butler, Cary King, Mike Gordon, Victor VanArsdall, Larry Curtis and Jeff Sherrow. Her Sunday School Class are asked to serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

           Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday; August 14 at the Immanuel Baptist Church, 1280 Faulkner Lane, Danville, KY. Burial will follow in the Danville Memorial Gardens.

          Memorial donations are directed to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-9959. Ransdell Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
