Obituary of Anita Isham Ransdell
Anita Ransdell, 82, Harrodsburg, widow of Curtis, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at the Ephraim McDowell James B Haggin Hospital, Harrodsburg.
Born November 11, 1935, in Mercer Co., she was the daughter of the late Richard Arthur and Hannah (Carter) Isham. She was a retired Maintenance Department Secretary for Kentucky State University and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church.
Anita's favorite passion in this world, besides her love for her Lord and Savior, was her children and grandchildren. She loved her family with every breathe she took. She was a friend to many and always wore the sweetest smile on her face. She will forever be missed by those who remain, but we know she is rejoicing on the streets of gold with her family and friends that went before her.
Survivors include: one daughter, Tina (Brian) Murphy of Harrodsburg; one son, Curt (Cindy) Ransdell of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Sue Buchanan of Harrodsburg, and Wanda Lester of Louisville; one brother, Arthur Boyd "Bud" (Betty) Isham of Harrodsburg; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Dale and Austin Goodpaster.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday at the Mt. Pleasant Church, Harrodsburg, by Derek Baker, Rollin Tarter, and Ricky Catlett. Burial will follow in Mt Pleasant Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Friday at Mt. Pleasant Church, and prior to the service on Saturday.
Pallbearers are: David & Darren Ransdell, Shannon Dean, Heather Dugger, Jordan Goodpaster, Brook Murphy, Hillary Cheek, Bradley Murphy, and Bud Isham. Honorary bearers are: Christy Ransdell, Keith Dean, Matt Dugger, Hope Ransdell, Kim Goodpaster, Jay Cheek, Sue Buchanan, Wanda Lester and Barbara Jo Faith.
