Obituary of Marie Louallen

Laura "Marie" Louallen, 80, Shelbyville, KY, widow of William Lee "Billy" Louallen, died Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Masonic Home, Shelbyville, KY. Born December 5, 1937, in Washington County, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Edwin and Helice Irene Yeager Hurst.

She was a retired child care provider, a member of Masonic Home and enjoyed quilting, scrap booking and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.

          Marie is survived by: Two daughters: Sherry McNear (Brandon Taylor) and Missy Johnson (Mike Gregory), both of Harrodsburg. One son: Ricky (Ellen) Louallen of Fort Smith, AR. Two sisters: Marian (Joe) Metcalf and Barbara (Jim) Mulrooney, both of Louisville. Three brothers: Roland (Patsy) Hurst and Dennie Hurst, both of Louisville and Jimmy (Michelle) Hurst of Versailles. 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her son: Terry (Vickie) Louallen, sisters: Gustie Dennie, Shirley Bond and Joyce Wood, and one great grandchild.

          Visitation will be Monday, October 1, 2018 from 11-2pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel,  Harrodsburg.

Pallbearers will be: Simon Louallen, Matthew Louallen, Brandon Louallen, Shawn Bozeman, Josh Johnson and B.J. Johnson. Honorary Bearers: Robert Louallen, Justin Louallen, Michael Louallen, Heather Holt, Jennifer Johnson, Tiffany Louallen and Tarah Conyers.

          Funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jesse Baxter. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
