Wilmer Lee "Buck" Merriman, 81, Burgin, KY, widower of Susie Faye, died Wednesday at  Baptist Health in Lexington, KY. Born Feb 15,1937, in Mercer County. He was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church, NRA and a former board member for KY Fish and Wildlife. Buck retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant in1975 then retired as an electrician at ATR Manufacturing in Danville.

          Buck is survived by: two daughters: Rita (Keith) Monson of Harrodsburg, KY and Tessy Nater of FL, and two sons: Jimmy Cloyd of Harrodsburg, KY and David (Susan) Merriman of MA, and six grand children; Leeann (Adam) Turner, Brian Monson, Shelby Nater, Freddie Nater, Lauren Merriman, and Rebecca Merriman; and one great  grandchild, Baleigh Turner.

          Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Friday; Oct 26 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel,  Harrodsburg, KY. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Kesel. Burial will follow in the Burgin Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be: David Peavler, Paul Hensley, Adam Turner, Brian Monson, Keith Monson and Joe Monson.  Gene Gray will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.
