Obituary of Gilbert V. Dean
Gilbert V. Dean, 84, Harrodsburg, husband of Patsy J. Mobley Dean, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born December 3, 1933, in Anderson Co., he was the son of the late Chester and Ruby (Murphy) Dean. He was a retired IBM employee, Army veteran of the Korean war, and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Kimberly (Matt) Dean Todd of Harrodsburg; one son, Tony Allen Dean of Harrodsburg; three sisters, Grace Perry and Doris Carmickle of Lawrenceburg, and Nancy Wooldridge of Waddy; one brother, James "Buck" Dean of KS; three grandchildren, Brittany Carey, April (Wesley) Davis, and Kayla (Zach) Johnson; seven great grandchildren, Mia and Maxton Carey, Kaiden Graves, Berklee Clark, Maddie and Carley Davis, and Riley Johnson.. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Harold Ray Dean, and a sister, Helen Dean.
Funeral services 1 PM Sat., Nov. 17, 2018, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 11 AM, Saturday, Ransdell's.
Pallbearers are Matt Todd, Matthew Mobley, Doug and Dexter Royalty, Gary Deboer, and Zach Johnson.
