Obituary of Nellie Golden Moore

Nellie Golden Moore, 87, Harrodsburg, widow of Granville C. Moore, died Saturday, November 17, 2018, at her home.  Born August 12, 1931, in Marion Co, KY, she was the daughter of the late Shannon and Mary Kate (Boswell) Darland. Nellie was a graduate of Mackville High School, was a homemaker, and was a lifetime member of the Mackville Church of Christ.

Survivors include: four daughters, Karen Ruth (Jim) Pearson, Mary Alice (Rodney) Thompson, Rachel Faith (Monty) Short, and Regina Hope (Terry) Graham, all of Harrodsburg; two sons, Mark Stephen (Ramona) Moore of Harrodsburg, and David Michael Moore of Windsor, KY;  two brothers, Donald (Helen) Darland and Jimmie (Betty Jo) Darland; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty (Kenneth) Hurst.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tues., Nov. 20, 2018, at the Mackville Church of Christ by Sonny Childs and Frank Preston. Burial will follow in Battle Cemetery, Washington Co., KY.  Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Monday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg and after 9 AM Tuesday at Mackville Church of Christ.

Pallbearers are Mark, David, Anthony and Aaron Moore, Dale Shannon Sexton, and Justin Decker.  Honorary bearers are Jim Pearson, Rodney Thompson, Monty Short and Terry Graham.
