Obituary of Linwood Chilton
Linwood Chilton, 97, Harrodsburg, widower of Gertrude Robinson Chilton, died Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Harrodsburg Health & Rehab Center, Harrodsburg. Born March 15, 1921, in Lawrenceburg, KY, he was the son of the late Fred Rile and Minnie Conley Robinson Chilton.
He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps, was a retired farmer and automobile dealer, a KY Colonel and attended Clay Lick Methodist Church.
Linwood is survived by: one daughter: Sue Wood Pugh of Harrodsburg; one sister: Katherine Jeffries of Lawrenceburg, one grandchild: LeeWood Pugh Goodlett and Great Grandchildren: Linlee and Dean Goodlett. Linwood was preceded in death by his Son In Law, Bobby Pugh; Brothers: Horace, Everett and Melvin Chilton and Sisters: Allie Belle Coke, Elsie Ray Roark and Onita Chilton.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 4-7pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers will be: Fred Coke, Bruce Coke, Paul Coke, Donnie Jeffries, Bobby Roark, Harold Chilton, Thomas Coke and Jimmy Jeffries. Honorary Bearers: Great Grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Monday, November 26 at 1:00 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Johnny Hockersmith and Lowell Langefield. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
