Obituary of Sylvia Marcille VanArsdall
Sylvia Marcille "Cille" VanArsdall, 97, widow of Dr. Carter VanArsdall, died Monday, December 17, 2018, at her home. Born November 22, 1921, in St. Paul, IN, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Jeannett (Hinton) Bailey. She was a retired R.N. for her husband's medical practice, and was an Army Nurse Veteran of WWII. Cille was a member of the Harrodsburg Methodist Church, a former Girl Scout Leader, and former volunteer for the American Red Cross.
Survivors include: two daughters: Ann (Wick) Asbury of Lawrenceburg, and Jeanne (Michael Trowbridge) VanArsdall of Lexington; one son, Tom (Marilee) VanArsdall of Stamping Ground; one brother, Nick (Kay) Bailey of Batesville, IN; she also has two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Bailey.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Allen Gibson. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the hour of service Friday, Ransdell's.
Pallbearers: Tom VanArsdall, Tad Asbury, Bill VanArsdall, Michael Trowbridge, Cole & Conner Asbury and Wick Asbury.
