Obituary of Carolyn Ann Worley
Carolyn Ann Worley, 74, Harrodsburg, KY, wife of James Edward Worley of 49 years, died Saturday, December 29, 2018, at The Willows - Harrodsburg.
Born May 1, 1944, in Mercer Co., she was the daughter of the late Howard Marion and Georgia Linney (Wright) Hiner. Carolyn was a retired French and Social Studies Teacher in the Harrodsburg and Mercer School Districts, a piano instructor for 25 years, and had served as organist for the Harrodsburg Christian Church and St. Philips Episcopal Churches for several years. She was a graduate Harrodsburg High School and Georgetown College, and received her Master's Degree from UK and La Sorbonne at the Univ. of Paris. She loved to travel, read, and play the piano and organ.
Other survivors include: one son, James Edward Worley, Jr. of Harrodsburg; several cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Edmond Worley.
Funeral services 2 PM Thursday, January 3, 2019, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Terry Morrison. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 12 noon until 2 PM Thursday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
