Met Larry in 1971. He was 3 classes
ahead of me at FBI training, Quantico. Taught me the secret of rope climbing. Spent many a weekend at Bull Run marina fishing. Many stories and choir practice with Larry, No matter what we always stayed in touch. About 17 months before he left us; he stopped by to see me in Boston for several days. What a treat to have a couple of beers and reminiscing. He loved his children and was not only a good agent but a great human being. I still miss him. ….Pax old friend.

As a young SA in NYC, Larry spent many nights on our couch as he and my then husband were great FBI friends. I think Larry took over our NYC apt when we moved to NJ. I remember his complete dedication to his work and his loyalty to his friends.

I'm sorry to have just found this site. Dear family of my sweet friend, I only knew him for such a short time. I'd have loved to sit and talk to him for hours but by the time I was finished he was ready for a nap. I cleaned his apartment. I can tell you without hesitation that I loved him dearly. I think of him often. He was a blessing to me.

I am so sorry to hear of Larry's passing., I was a family friend of his sister Holly for many of years and spent many times in the family home when we all were kids. Larry's love for the FBI started when he was young as he told many of his school age friends that is what he was going to do, So devoted to his family.
So many memories. Rest in Peace Larry.
Prayers for the family.

I had the distinct honor of working with Larry as an agent in the New York office on the nation’s first Joint Terrorism Task Force. Larry was one of the senior agents that the members of the squad, both detectives and agents, looked up to. Agent Wack arrived early, stayed late, and was credited for some of the nation’s most significant terrorism cases in FBI history. I also maintained a close friendship with Larry until the end. I only wish everyone could have witnessed his strength and courage while battling this deadly disease. He always talked about his children and how proud he was of each one, Ryan, Reanna, and Connor, and most recently his special lady, Wanda, who lovingly cared for him until his death. Special Agent Larry Wack was not only special in serving his country but was special to me as a life longl friend. My wife, Rosie, and I will miss him. RIP dear friend! Hold a stool at Stark’s in the sky for the gang!

Deepest condolences on the loss of Larry, a good friend during our time working together in the FBI NYO. An excellent investigator, dedicated and hard working, with an exemplary reputation in the NYO and the FBI. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten. May he rest in peace now in God's hands.

I was a young federal prosecutor in 1976 when I was placed in charge of the first political assassination in the U.S. of a foreign official. Larry, three years younger than me at the time, had the important responsibility of gathering evidence in the NY area against the perpetrators of this horrible crime. Larry was diligent, innovative, courageous and more fun than any FBI agent I knew. The case could not have been solved without his actions. He was a terrific agent and a great guy.
