Obituary of Virginia A. Robertson
Virginia Ann Robertson, 81, widow of William Edward Robertson, died Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Baptist Health Lexington.
Born August 17, 1937, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late George and Cordelia Claunch Durr. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, a former Clerk at Harrod Fashion and had worked at the Harrodsburg School Cafeteria for several years. She also served as an Auxiliary member at Haggin Memorial Hospital for many years.
Survivors include: two sons, Jack (Joy) Robertson and Jeff (Sharyn) Robertson, both of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Bea Gritton and Melvina Cheatham, both of Harrodsburg; one brother, Morris Durr of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, Matthew Robertson, Monica Robertson, and Ann Katherine (Chris) Cutter; a great granddaughter, Lexie Gilbert.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Eddie Russell, Larry D. Camic, and Paul Gibson. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers: Bobby Burton, Chris Cutter, Gary Durr, J. B. Claunch, George Cheatham, Joe Cheatham, Kermit Logue, and John Westerfield. Honorary bearers: Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital Auxiliary members, and Lee Shirley and Rita Durr.
