Obituary of Joyce Sherrow

Joyce Sherrow, 85, Harrodsburg, KY, wife of Curtis L. Sherrow, died Wednesday at her home in Harrodsburg, KY. She was born June 14, 1933, in Harrodsburg, to the late Vernice "V. B." and the late Alma (Vance) Pinkston.  Joyce was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a church musician for more than 66 years, and was a former teacher in the Mercer County School System. She was active in the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) and the Auxiliary of Gideon's International.

Joyce is survived by: her husband, Curtis L. Sherrow; two daughters, Linda Devine and Susan (David) Huffman, both of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Frances Moore and Roxie Pinkston, both of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, Shauna (Jim) Sanford, Emily (Nick) Hogue and Brian (Adrianna) Devine; six great grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Charles "Tommy" Pinkston.

Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel,  Harrodsburg, and after 11 AM Sat., at the Bethel Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be: Jeffery Pinkston, Mike Sherrow, Lee Todd Pinkston, David Moore, Stewart Horne, John Moore, Todd Sherrow and Jimmy Sanders. Honorary Bearers will be: the Bethel Baptist WMU Member and Gideons Auxiliary Members.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church by Lester Tirey, Stephen Brogli and Brad King. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
