Marvin Peavler, 95, Danville, KY, husband of Ada Browning Peavler, died Thursday, May 9, 2019, at home.  Born April 1, 1924, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Willis Dowell and Camie Leona (Gritton) Peavler. Marvin was a retired White & Congleton Construction employee and was a member of the Southside Christian Church.

 

Other survivors include: one daughter, Marvina C. (Gary) Cocanougher of Danville; one son, Roger Dale Peavler of Danville;  two sisters, Irene Votaw Hicks and Helen Isham both of Harrodsburg; two brothers, J. B. Peavler of Freeport, OH, and Edward (Donna) Peavler of Middleburg, FL; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Joytene Morris Hasty and Rowena Joan Peavler, and seven siblings, Willis E., Leon, Condit, Lawrence, and Donald Peavler, Sarah Ellen Peavler and Jewell Toby.

 

Funeral services will be 2 PM Tues., May 14, 2019, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jerry Browning, Kawood Morris, and Brad King.  Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.  Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg.

 

Pallbearers:  Karson & Kardell Morris, Connie Estes, Rita Lawson, Mason Cocanougher, Luke Major, and Dalton Morris.  Honorary bearers: Anita, Bryant, & Wesley Qualls, Trey, Cassidy, Grace, Baeleigh, & Ethan Cocanougher, Kole, Karli, & Mya Morris and Lynea & Adria Major. 

 

Memorials are suggested to a charity of ones choice.
