Obituary of Daniel Brent Goodlett
Daniel Brent Goodlett, 29, Harrodsburg, died Monday, May 20, 2019, at home, surrounded by family and friends following a chronic illness.
Born June 9, 1989, in Boyle Co., he was the son of Jeffrey Brent Goodlett and Danielle (Troy Moore) Prather, both of Harrodsburg. Daniel was a 2007 graduate of Mercer Co. High School, attended Bluegrass Community College, and was a member of the Kirkwood Baptist Church. He was a skilled carpenter by trade, but also enjoyed farming and operating heavy equipment. He was known for his jokes and comical personality, his love of Jesus and his sharing of his salvation with others. He was an avid college and NBA basketball fan, and was a Packers fan. He enjoyed time with his family and friends, family vacations and classic car shows. However, Daniel's greatest time was spent with his son, Brady, his main pride and joy.
Survivors other than his parents and son include: sisters, Alyssa, Allie and Annika Goodlett, and Tiffanie Moore; five brothers, Micah Riney, Brandon (Leah) Moore, Dakota Moore, Travis Lawson and Trenton Lawson; grandmothers, Tina Prather, Linda Yocum Alford, Nancy Wesley, and Judy Thompson; a niece, Emerlyn Grace Moore; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; lifelong best friend, Ashley Lawson. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Lee Prather, James Alford, Donnie Goodlett, and Robbie Moore, great grandparents, Agness Bunnell, Morris and Mary Ann Yocum.
Funeral services11 AM, Friday, May 24, 2019, by Justin Johnson, Logan Hazelwood, Jerel Coffey, and Derek Baker. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
