Obituary of John Paul and Amanda Bailey
John Paul Bailey, 39 and Amanda Kay Bailey, 41, both of Harrodsburg, died Saturday, May 25, 2019, in Springfield, KY. John was born November 17, 1979, in Mercer County, he was the son of John C. and the late Ruth Ann Jenkins Bailey. Amanda was born July 29, 1977, in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of Cecil (Allison) and the late Anita Kay Wilson Buchanan and the late James Michael.
Other survivors for John Paul include: three daughters, Kaylie Nichole (Chase) Watkins of Harrodsburg, Laci Jai Bailey and Mollie Jo Ann Bailey; one sister, Crystal (Bryan) Nevius of Harrodsburg; grandmother, Hattie J. Bailey, Harrodsburg. He was preceded in death by grandparents, William Harold Bailey, and George and Nona Bea Louallen Jenkins.
Other survivors for Amanda include: three daughters, Kaylie Nichole (Chase) Watkins of Harrodsburg, Laci Jai Bailey and Mollie Jo Ann Bailey; one sister, Katie (Thomas) Carmickle of Versailles; one brother, Johathan (Carolyn) Buchanan of Salvisa; grandmothers, Ann Watts and Sue B. Boswell, Harrodsburg. She was preceded in death by grandfathers, George Buchanan and Jesse Wilson.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Thursday, May 30, 2019 by Derek Baker and Kenneth Whitehouse. Burial will follow in Mt Pleasant Church Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 29, at Mt. Pleasant Church, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers: Mitch Abrams, Mike Abrams, Landon Abrams, Bryan Nevius, Brent Kendall, Nick Craig, Nick Darnell, Jesse Darnell, Brandon Wilson, Brandon Buchanan, Brett Buchanan, Logan Horn and Austin Horn.
