Obituary of James A. Bristo

James A. Bristo, 78, Stanford, KY, husband of Dorothy Campbell Bristo, died Monday, June 3, 2019, at the UK Medical Center, Lexington.  Born June 8, 1940, in Bakers, CA, he was the son of the late Lee and Edith (Smith) Bristo. Jim was a retired GMC Truck Driver and was a Burgin Church of God.

 

Other survivors include: two daughters, Sylvia Ruth Willis of Georgetown and Laina Smith of VA; one son, David (Melissa) Tharpe of Lexington; three sisters, Louise (Bill) Harrington of GA, Dorothy Smith of AZ and Rose (Reggie) Hasenbusch of MI; two brothers, Paul Record of AL and Kenneth Gene Bristo of MI; eight grandchildren, Ashley Hammond, Michael Caudill, Phillip Pittman, Jim Crockett, Katie Kern, Liza Trover, Melissa Smith, and Rocky South; seven great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services 12 Noon, Thur., June 6, 2019, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Donnie Irvin. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be after 10 AM Thur.

 

Pallbearers:  Drew Hammond, Michael Caudill, Phillip Pittman, Rocky South, Jim Crockett and David Tharpe.
